Unfortunately, there are millions of children worldwide who are unable to attend school or are forced to do so under appalling circumstances. One such heartrending image that has gone viral on the internet is that of Wang Fuman, an 8-year-old boy from China\u2019s Xinjie province.<\/p>\n

Wang Fuman has been living with his grandmother ever since his mother abandoned him and his father had to move to a major city for work. Every day, Wang has to walk three miles to and from school, a journey that takes him hours. And with winter setting in and temperatures dropping to -9 degrees Celsius, getting to school has become even harder for him.<\/p>\n

In an effort to shed light on the difficult conditions faced by many students like Wang, his school\u2019s principal decided to share these images on social media. One particular image has captured the attention of people all around the world \u2013 it shows Wang Fuman with a completely frozen head. His cheeks are burning from the cold and his eyebrows are frozen. The principal explained that Wang chose to brave the terrible weather and walk to school because he had an exam.<\/p>\n

Despite the freezing weather, Wang Fuman was determined to make it to school on time for his test. He finished the exam with his hands frozen. His unwavering commitment to learning is truly inspiring. Let\u2019s hope that these pictures bring attention to Wang\u2019s struggle and that he receives the assistance he needs to attend school without enduring such extreme conditions.<\/p>\n

No child should ever have to face such hardships just to go to school. As a society, we must ensure that all children have the opportunity to access education in respectable conditions.
