It involves a star from Jurassic Park who is facing the inevitable.<\/p>\n<p>76-year-old Sam Neill has been battling cancer and he is now \u2018prepared\u2019 to die from it. That was when he was diagnosed with stage III non-Hodgkin\u2019s lymphoma. In case you are unaware of this type of cancer, it is very dangerous and aggressive.<\/p>\n<p>As you can imagine, a diagnosis like this is life altering. It also occurred when he was on his promotional tour for the third installment of the requel Jurassic Park series.<\/p>\n<p>While he was on tour, he noticed that he had lumps in the glands in his neck and they were later diagnosed as being cancerous. He will have to take it for the rest of his life, and he says he is in remission.<\/p>\n<p>Despite having a possible diagnosis that is terminal, he expressed: \u201cI\u2019m not afraid of dying; what I don\u2019t want to do is to stop living because I really enjoy living.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He says that he is still in remission but at some point in the future, the doctor said that the medication will stop working. He says he is prepared for it and is not remotely afraid of dying.<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cI started to look at my life and realize how immensely grateful I am for so much of it. I started to think I better write some of this down because I\u2019m not sure how long I have to live. I was running against the clock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He admits that he would like another decade or two and that he would be annoyed from dying.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve built all these lovely terraces, we\u2019ve got these olive trees and cypresses, and I want to be around to see it all mature. And I\u2019ve got my lovely little grandchildren. I want to see them get big. But as for the dying? I couldn\u2019t care less.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the end, he says he really loves acting and is good for him to continue to work with other actors, including young actors.
