He\u2019s a hoot,\u201d Ashley says,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>explaining that before bed, her son Wyatt asked her to get his suitcase.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Confused, Ashley asked her son where he\u2019s going. His response: \u201cI\u2019ve got a big\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.intheknow.com\/post\/best-travel-gifts\/\"><span class=\"s1\">trip<\/span><\/a>\u00a0tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"faith-726178940\" class=\"faith-post-content-5\">\n<div id=\"contribute_button\"><a class=\"myButton\" href=\"https:\/\/faithit.com\/become-a-contributor\/\">Become A Contributor<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">Thinking about their plans for the next day, Ashley asks Wyatt if he\u2019s talking about going to church, to which he replies, \u201cNo, that\u2019s going to have to wait, but He\u2019ll [God] forgive me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Through tears, Ashley explains that her son told her he\u2019s going to heaven to visit his dad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ashley\u2019s husband Tyler passed away unexpectedly in his sleep in May of 2020. He was just 35 years old.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Wyatt asked his mom not to peek at what he had packed. But an emotional Ashley said she hopes he\u2019ll forgive her before diving into her son\u2019s duffle bag.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">She opens the bag and chuckled as she pulled out few masks and capes. \u201cI\u2019m assuming he\u2019s saving the world in heaven,\u201d she says through sniffles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Other important items for the journey to heaven included a whistle, two new baseball gloves, a ball, and ALL the Nerf darts. But it was what Ashley discovered next that left her in a puddle of tears.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">One by one, she pulled out Wyatt\u2019s shoes. One was holding his dad\u2019s bottle of cologne, while the other was stuffed with his dad\u2019s old wallet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As she realizes what\u2019s in the shoes, Ashley holds the cologne up to her nose and visibly crumbles at the all-too famiiliar scent of her late husband.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cBoy he\u2019s smart,\u201d Ashley says, explaining that anytime her husband would pack to go out of town, his cologne would go in his shoes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Then she opens the wallet and explains that when Wyatt had important things for his dad to carry, he\u2019d open his wallet and have Wyatt place the item right on the inside flap.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">After a brief sob, Ashely closes the video by explaining that whenever her late husband and son would go on a trip, they\u2019d bring her back flowers they picked, \u201cand I promise you tomorrow, [Wyatt] will do the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Ashley\u2019s video left TikTok in a virtual puddle with tens of thousands of users flocking to the comments with love and support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThe look when you smelled his cologne like it was comfort &amp; pain existing in the same moment. Sending love and healing,\u201d one user wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cBoy\u2019s got big plans for his trip.
