After being \u201ccanceled,\u201d Roseanne Barr said she was done caring what the Hollywood crowd thinks and refused to \u201cgo away quietly.\u201d Barr took on her critics and had a few harsh words for them. She didn\u2019t pull any punches.<\/h3>\n

Roseanne Barr found herself targeted by \u201ccancel culture\u201d in 2018 after she had just rebooted her hit classic sitcom,\u00a0Roseanne<\/em>. When Barr fired off a tweet about former Obama Administration advisor Valerie Jarret, some called it racist. She was dropped from the\u00a0ABC<\/em>\u00a0reboot and show business altogether, the\u00a0Daily Mail<\/em>\u00a0reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Barr described getting \u201ccanceled\u201d by those \u201cwoke\u201d individuals during her special on\u00a0Fox Nation<\/em>. \u201cThey didn\u2019t do it to anyone else in Hollywood, although they always [mention] Dave Chappelle and Louis C.K.,\u201d she said. \u201cWell, Louis C.K. did lose everything, but he committed an actual [offense]. And Dave Chappelle was protected by Netflix.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m the only person who\u2019s lost everything, whose life\u2019s work was stolen, stolen by people who I thought loved me. And there was silence,\u201d she continued. \u201cThere was no one in Hollywood really defending me publicly.\u201d Barr also mocked gender identity and pronouns. \u201cThese people, they have no concept of reality. They\u2019ve been living in a bubble forever. Asking questions have nothing to do with the real world,\u201d she said. \u201c\u2018What is my gender, mom? What is my gender?\u2019 Your gender is, get a job. That\u2019s your gender.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barr then paused for her audience to cheer before she continued. \u201cWhat are they thinking? Ask a \u2013 what is a woman? They don\u2019t know that? That one they\u2019re asking all the time. What is a woman? I\u2019ll tell you what a woman is. A woman is me,\u201d she said. \u201cThat\u2019s what a woman is, okay? A woman is someone who cleans up everybody else\u2019s shit. That\u2019s what a woman is.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA woman is somebody whose boobs hang down to her knees with a prolapsed uterus from giving birth to five ungrateful little privileged bastards that have never had to work for anything in their whole damn life,\u201d she continued. \u201cMy pronouns are, kiss my a**!\u201d<\/p>\n

Barr was \u201ccanceled\u201d back in 2018 when she compared Valerie Jarret, who is black, to a character from the movie\u00a0Planet Of The Apes\u00a0<\/em>in a late-night tweet. Though she immediately apologized and denied knowing that Jarrett was black, Barr was immediately forced off the reboot of\u00a0Roseanne<\/em>\u00a0by the executives at\u00a0ABC<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a witch-burning,\u201d Barr told the\u00a0LA Times<\/a><\/em>. \u201cThey denied me the right to apologize.\u201d Barr went on to say that she was hated by many liberals for her outspoken support of former President Donald Trump. \u201cOh my God, they just hated me so badly,\u201d she said. \u201cI had never known that they hated me like that. They hate me because I have talent, because I have an opinion. Even though Roseanne became their No. 1 show, they\u2019d rather not have a No. 1 show.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they killed my character off, that was a message to me \u2013 knowing that I\u2019m mentally ill or have mental health issues \u2013 that they did want me to commit suicide,\u201d she continued. Barr was referring to the fact that\u00a0ABC<\/em>\u00a0killed off her character on\u00a0Roseanne<\/em>\u00a0and canceled the show before bringing it back with the rest of the cast as\u00a0The Connors<\/em>.<\/p>\n
