In the meantime, Fox\u2019s career only continued to rise, and by the mid-\u201980s, he was a star and teen idol, appearing in movies such as the \u201cBack to the Future<\/a>\u201d franchise and \u201cTeen Wolf<\/a>.\u201d Not long after, Fox and Pollan reunited on the set of their 1988 movie \u201cBright Lights, Big City,\u201d and finally, their love blossomed.<\/p>\n In Hollywood, being married for 35 years is certainly a rarity, but in the case of Fox and his wife Pollan, it truly seems like they are meant to be. During the 2023 premiere of Fox\u2019s new biographical film \u201cStill: A Michael J. Fox Movie,\u201d Fox and Pollan, who have been married for more than three decades, opened up about their relationship dynamics which has kept their love grounded and consistent throughout decades.<\/p>\n After their romance bloomed on the set of \u201cBright Lights, Big City<\/a>,\u201d\u00a0Fox<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Pollan<\/a>\u00a0dated for just seven months before getting engaged on Dec. 26, 1987. They were married the following year, on July 16, 1988, at the West Mountain Inn in Arlington, Vermont.<\/p>\n But years later, Pollan revealed during an appearance on \u201cInside the Actor\u2019s Studio<\/a>,\u201d as reported by\u00a0Mental Floss<\/a>, that her first impression of Fox was not a positive one.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was feeling good about himself. I think I thought he was kind of full of himself,\u201d Pollan said. But after she got to know Fox better, her opinion switched drastically.<\/p>\n After the couple was married, they welcomed their first child and only son, Sam, in 1989. Sadly, it was two years later, in 1991 \u2014 and before they welcomed any more children \u2014 that Fox received his\u00a0devastating diagnosis<\/a>. Fox\u2019s world was shattered, but he and Pollan weathered the storm. Although Fox didn\u2019t publicly announce the news for another nine years and continued to work all through the \u201990s, the toll that his diagnosis took on him \u2014 and Pollan \u2014 privately was immense.<\/p>\n After being married for more than three decades, there is still tremendous love between Fox and Pollan. In an interview with\u00a0Entertainment Tonight<\/a>, Fox gushed over his \u201cbeautiful\u201d wife, calling her the \u201crock that keeps giving\u201d in his life.<\/p>\n The two have maintained a positive outlook in life despite facing a rather unfortunate setback.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, Tracy\u2019s amazing,\u201d Fox told\u00a0Today<\/a> in 2020. \u201cShe\u2019s there in the front lines with me every single day.
