It feels like you can barely make a move in public these days without the possibility of ending up on the internet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The age of viral clips and stories is well and truly upon us, meaning that embarrassing, comical, and sometimes even private videos and pictures of us can be uploaded and spread around the digital world quite literally in seconds.<\/p>\n

Now, while this can certainly be abused, it can also sometimes be used for good \u2013 take, for example, when people are called out for doing bad things.<\/p>\n

I can only imagine that\u2019s what internet denizens believed was happening when an Instagram post went viral in early March purporting to show a note displayed by a mom who had left her baby in the car to run into Target to do some shopping.<\/p>\n

Enough to stop the heart, right? Well, don\u2019t worry, there\u2019s more to this story than meets the eye.<\/p>\n

Back in March, influencer Bonnie Engle shared a reel to her\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0that soon spread like wildfire. Since being posted, the clip has accrued millions of views and more than 1,000 comments.<\/p>\n

The video in question shows a close-up of a handwritten sign taped inside the window of a car, reading:\u00a0\u201cMy baby is OK. He has his snacks and a drink! I\u2019m in Target. Be back soon!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Needless to say, the note alone was enough to send shockwaves around a large portion of the people who saw the clip.<\/p>\n

Yet those prepared to give the video a chance soon got to see that Engle isn\u2019t so much a bad mother as she is a mischievous partner. Seconds after the aforementioned close-up on the note in the window, the camera pans back, revealing that Engle\u2019s baby in the car isn\u2019t a baby at all \u2026 rather, it\u2019s her husband.<\/p>\n

The influencer captioned the\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0reel:\u00a0\u201cPlease no judgment. He is safe & well.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Her husband can be seen waiting inside the vehicle snacking on popcorn.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, fans in the comments section saw the funny side to Bonnie\u2019s clip.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy heart dropped and then I LMAO,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0one wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so much easier to leave them in the car,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0another person said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor a second I was about to get really upset \u2026 I was not expecting that,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0a third added.<\/p>\n
