Matty Healy’s family have spoken out following Taylor Swift’s latest album release.
Taylor Swift certainly seemed to fill in a lot of Blank Spaces when it came to information surrounding her past relationships in her latest album release The Tortured Poets Department.
The 34-year-old dropped her latest album yesterday (19 April), surprising fans by making it a double album and it didn’t take long for Swifties to deep dive into the 16 tracks before eagerly flocking online to speculate which songs were about which of her former flings.
While some fans were focused on Swift’s apparent diss track about Kim Kardashian, others spotted that one of Swift’s ex-boyfriends, Joe Alwyn, had turned off his Instagram comments in the wake of the album release.
And another former beau who eagle-eared fans believe certainly didn’t escape unscathed was The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, who many feel was referred to in not just one but multiple tracks from ‘Guilty as a Sin?’ to ‘The Black Dog’ as well as ‘Fresh Out the Slammer’ and ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ – whether it be one song ‘unironically sound[ing] like a 1975 song’ or a mention of Healy’s alleged typewriter.
One X user said: “Obsessed with the fact that swifties were aiming the gun at joe alwyn but right when they pulled the trigger taylor pushed matty healy in front of the bullet.”
And Healy’s aunt has since responded to the kerfuffle.

Healy’s aunt, Debbie Dedes – sister to TV presenter and Healy’s mom Denise Welch – told the Mail Online in an article published 19 April: “She writes about all her relationships, doesn’t she?
‘”I don’t think it will come as a shock to him at all. He’s very happy in his new relationship so I’m sure he will be focusing on that.
“As my nephew, we know a bit more about what went on than has been in the press.”
She later reiterated to the Sun that she doesn’t believe anything ‘surprises him anymore,’ that he and Swift ‘know what went on’ and his current relationship is his priority.
Indeed, just like Swift has moved on and is seemingly very happy with new beau NFL star Travis Kelce, Healy too is in a new relationship, currently reported as dating model and musician Gabbriette Bechtel who goes simply by Gabbriette.
