There’s a handful of celebrities reportedly on Ferrari’s ‘blacklist’
There’s said to be a handful of celebrities on Ferrari’s ‘blacklist’ – and there are some seriously big names on there.
The Italian car manufacturer make some of the best cars in the world.
While most of us could only dream of affording one, there are a few people who aren’t allowed one even if they have the cash to purchase one of the exclusive vehicles.
There’s a range of reasons why these celebs have allegedly been barred from buying the cars – a common one being because they modify their Ferrari’s without the manufacturer’s permission.
Here are some the famous faces that you’re unlikely to see in a Ferrari anytime soon…
Justin Bieber
The singer was once the lucky owner of a Ferrari 458 Italia F1 Edition, but ruffled Ferrari’s feathers by getting it modified without its permission.
It’s reported that there are 15 main rules that Ferrari owners must follow – and unauthorized modifications is one of them.
According to reports, Bieber took his car into West Coast Customs and got the car – which was originally white – wrapped in electric blue.
As per Carbuyer, he also changed its wheels, as well as the steering wheel’s prancing horse logo.
50 Cent
‘Candy Shop’ rapper 50 Cent is also said to be on Ferrari’s blacklist. In 2020, 50 Cent – real name Curtis Jackson – publicly criticised his car after it’s battery died, meaning he needed the vehicle towing.
Sharing snaps of the his luxury red car being taken away, he wrote on Facebook: “I don’t want this 488 Ferrari no more, I think I’m a get a smart car.”
According to Experience Ferrari, one rule car owners must follow is promoting the brand image of Ferrari; a rule 50 Cent most definitely broke.
Kim Kardashian
While the reality TV star turned-business mogul has been seen whipping around Calabasas in a Tesla Cybertruck of late, it’s thought she’s on Ferrari’s infamous blacklist.
According to reports, the Kardashian got a name for themselves for not taking care of their Ferrari in the way the carmaker expects from its customers.

Elsewhere it’s been speculated that Kardashian found herself on the blacklist after being gifted a Ferrari as a wedding gift in 2011 from a Malaysian businessman, who also happened to be a financial fraudster, HotCars reports.
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
When buying a Ferrari, you’re expected to not sell the vehicle within a year of purchase.
Experience Ferrari explains: “For certain models, Ferrari imposes restrictions on resale, often prohibiting owners from selling the car within a certain timeframe after purchase.”
But Mayweather is reported to have only kept his luxury car for a few months before selling it on, therefore landing him on the manufacturers blacklist.
