Matthew Perry was found dead in his hot tub, with his cause of death ruled as the ‘effects of ketamine’
Another celebrity could be linked to the investigation into the death of Matthew Perry.
Perry was found dead in his hot tub on October 28 2023, with the cause of death given as the ‘acute effects of ketamine‘.
His death sparked an outpouring of grief and tributes including from his Friends co-stars.
In the aftermath of Perry’s death, authorities launched a criminal investigation.
In Touch subsequently reported that officers had seized a laptop and an iPhone from the room at a sober living space occupied by a famous woman and ‘brought her in for questioning’ in connection with Perry’s death.
A lawyer for Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, later admitted his client had been questioned in relation to the Matthew Perry case.
Now, In Touch has reported that another celebrity could become involved in the ongoing criminal investigation surrounding Perry’s death.

Perry wrote about taking ketamine as part of a treatment program for mental health problems, including depression.
However, he had received the last dose of the ketamine treatment with his doctor around a week and a half earlier.
According to his autopsy report ‘the ketamine in his system at death could not be from infusion therapy’, because the body metabolises ketamine quickly.
The implication that Perry had not taken the fatal dose as part of a therapeutic application has led authorities to suspect that he obtained the fatal dose elsewhere.
This could imply that there is a criminal component in Perry’s passing.
One potential lead is a relationship that Perry was alleged to have developed with another celebrity while the pair were in rehab at the same time.

A source has spoken to In Touch alleging that Perry and the unnamed celebrity had tried to help each other to obtain drugs.
Speaking to the outlet, the source said: “If the feds had either one of their phones — especially [the second celeb’s], because she doesn’t erase her text messages — they would probably find conversations about the drug and ‘How can I get extra?’ Like, ‘Oh, come see my doctor if you need more.'”
They added: “It will not look good for the celebrity.”
Tributes poured in following Perry’s death, including from his Friends cast mates.
In a joint statement, they wrote: “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”
