Bebe Rexha claims she could ‘bring down’ music industry with what she knows

Singer Bebe Rexha said ‘things must change’

Bebe Rexha has claimed she could ‘bring down’ the music industry in an online rant.

The singer – best known for hits such as ‘In the Name of Love’ and ‘I’m Good (Blue)’ – launched her tirade on social media on Tuesday (July 2).

Taking to X, the 34-year-old wrote: “I could bring down a BIG chunk of this industry. I AM frustrated. I have been UNDERMINED. I’ve been so quiet for the longest time. I haven’t seen the signs even though people constantly are bringing them up and they have been SO OBVIOUS.

“And when I have spoken up I’ve been silence and PUNISHED by this industry Things must change or I’m telling ALL of my truths. The good the bad and the ugly.”

Bebe then appeared to add more information as she told fans that her rant didn’t come ‘from a place of anger’ but was instead due to ‘sadness’ over her treatment in the industry since she started singing in 2014.

She added: “I’m sitting in my hotel room in London crying my eyes out. I’ve felt hopeless for the longest time. I’ve been walking a lot through this city and meeting fans and they have really ignited something inside of me.”

The singer later shared a follow-up and said: “Thank you to everyone checking up on me. I’m working through these issues and fighting for what I deserve.

“Many news outlets have asked for an interview. If you want to write about me please support my new music. Thank you again. Love you.”

Her posts have been flooded with comments and support from fans, as one replied: “We stand with you bebe.”

Another shared: “And we will be here to support you! U r seen and appreciated.”

A third added: “We are here to support you! Get this out of your system so it won’t hurt you anymore.”

However, some fans claimed she needed to ‘drop names’ and out who she was referring to, and others even suggested her rant could be part of a ploy to promote her new single, ‘I’m The Drama’.

One sceptical fan posted: “Doing this during promoting a new single ‘I’m The Drama’ is perfect timing – marketing or not! xx.”

However, Bebe hit back at claims it was all to drum up buzz for her new release as she replied: “Marketing? I have no budget for that. IM FED UP.”
