The high-end drug dealer reportedly led a lavish lifestyle

One of the suspects arrested in connection to Friends actor Matthew Perry’s death is reportedly a notorious drug dealer known as ‘The Ketamine Queen’ of North Hollywood.

On Thursday (August 15), five suspects were arrested on the premises of enabling Perry’s ketamine usage, which resulted in his tragic death last year on 28 October.

In a press conference, the US Department of Justice shared that their seven-month investigation revealed ‘a broad underground criminal network’ that ‘took advantage’ of the actor.

This network included Perry’s live-in assistant, several doctors, and a San Fernando Valley drug dealer who prosecutors called ‘The Ketamine Queen.’

The 41-year-old’s real name is Jasveen Sangha and she is a dual citizen of the United States and Great Britain.

She’s currently facing nine counts related to Perry‘s death, including conspiracy to distribute ketamine, maintaining a drug-involved premises, and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and ketamine.

Sangha pleaded not guilty, but if she is convicted of all charges, she faces a maximum sentence of life in prison. A judge denied her request for bail, and she will remain in custody until her next scheduled hearing on October 15.

According to prosecutors, Sangha has been distributing ketamine and other illegal drugs from her North Hollywood ‘stash house’ since at least 2019.

The US Attorney for California’s Central District Martin Estrada described her home as a ‘drug-selling emporium’ in a news conference on Thursday.

He shared that a search of her home found around 80 vials of ketamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, and Xanax.

Prosecutors further accused Sangha of being ‘aware of the danger of ketamine,’ saying that in August 2019 she allegedly sold ketamine to a man named Cody McLaury hours before he died from an overdose.

When a relative of McLaury’s reached out to Sangha saying that her ketamine had killed him, Sangha reportedly searched on Google: “Can ketamine be listed as a cause of death [?]”

One of the other suspects charged in connection to Perry’s death, Erik Fleming, reportedly said in an indictment that Sangha ‘only deal[s] with high end and celebs.’

Per the BBC, the drug dealer used to flex her extravagant lifestyle on social media, posting content from parties and her luxurious vacations to Japan and Mexico.

Her previous social media activity reportedly shows that she’s a well-connected Hollywood socialite.

Sangha is being accused of selling ketamine to Perry on October 24, 2023, that resulted in his death.

The actor was found dead in a hot tub in his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023. Traces of ketamine were found in his system, and his cause of death was believed to be an accidental overdose at the time.
