Todd and Julie Chrisley living in ‘inhumane conditions’ in prison according to family

The Chrisley family has been in the news recently, and not at all for positive reasons. The family patriarch Todd Chrisley and matriarch Julie Chrisley were both convinced on various charges and are currently serving time.

Now their children, Chase and Savannah Chrisley, are speaking up about the alleged horrific conditions their parents are serving time in. Keep reading to learn more…

Chase and Savannha Chrisley are upset about how their parents are currently living. Recently in Savannah Chrisley’s podcast ‘Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley’ her brother Chase Chrisley joined her and talked about his recent visit to their incarcerated father.

“You went and saw Dad, and you got to hear about the cluster of everything going on at his facility,” Savannah said to her sibling during their talk.

“It’s a nightmare,” Chase told her.

Todd and Julie were both convinced on charges of fraud in November 2022 and reported to prison to serve their changes in January of the following year. While Todd serves a 12 year prison sentence in Pensacola in Florida, Julie is serving a 7 year sentence in Lexington, Kentucy. Both of them are appealing their convictions.

“They both have no air conditioning,” Chase reported. “They are both in states where it gets to be 100+ degrees, and there’s no air conditioning.”

Savannah also had some horrific things to report. She said her mom told her she “has rattlesnakes just casually slithering on the floor in front of her” that she has allegedly seen snakes in her cell and around her bed.

“I don’t care if you killed somebody, if you’re in a government facility, you should have air conditioning,” Chase added. He also acknowledged that people did not have a lot of sympathy for those who are incarcerated.

“At the end of the day, it’s my parents. I mean, I don’t [expect] anyone else to feel bad for them,” Chase knowingly added. “[People] don’t have any sympathy until they’re in the situation and it’s their loved one.”

Savannah shared how hard it has been for her to watch her parents behind bars. She said, “It’s just crazy to sit and watch Mom and Dad go through that,” before adding, “But luckily, they have the fight in them”

“They’re strong, and they have remained loyal to each other, they love each other,” Chase said. “They are strong individuals. They weren’t built to break and this, for damn sure, isn’t going to break them.”

The podcast episode’s release coincided with Chase uploading stories announcing his breakup from his fiancee Emmy. He wrote, “Everybody has been asking a lot of questions regarding Emmy and myself,” Adding, “We both agreed to part ways and move on with our lives separately. Thank you for respecting our privacy.”

This is such an interesting update from the Chrisley family about what their parents are going through. What do you think of Julie and Todd Chrisley’s conviction? Let us know in the comments!
