David and Victoria Beckham have been one of the most beloved celebrity couples for decades. During their marriage, they welcomed four children, three boys, and their youngest child was a girl.

While the children have access to everything they could ever want and more, fans have criticized David and Victoria for how they have chosen to raise their children.

Recently, while on vacation with her parents in Miami, Harper followed in her fashionista mother’s footsteps, stepping out in a stylish outfit. While she wore a plain white dress and brown sandals, Harper paired the look with a $2,807 Goyard handbag.

Goyard is popular among the rich and famous because of how exclusive the brand is. The items can only be bought in person in their boutiques. Victoria wore a more understated look in a Reebok tennis skirt and strappy top, which she paired with a Chanel bag.

Victoria wore her signature oversized sunglasses as her husband wore a baseball cap, brown shirt, and swimming shorts. The family enjoyed their day with their children Harper and Cruz aboard a 93.5ft yacht called “Seven.”

While the family had gathered to enjoy their day on the vessel, fans could not see past the handbag that 12-year-old Harper was carrying. Some said she was “a little very spoiled girl,” and others said David and Victoria should have taught their children the value of money after they grew up normal.

Another fan touted the situation as “ridiculous,” and many agreed. Many believed that at her age, Harper had no use for such an expensive accessory. One fan lamented:

“That’s sad because it’s not teaching her the value of money.”

Some fans said the Beckhams should have donated that money to other twelve-year-olds who were going hungry. Some even thought the Beckham children were never raised to “achieve anything of worth,” as their father had to keep supporting their mother’s business.

While many fans were upset that Harper had such an expensive accessory, others were happy for the Beckham family. One said Harper was a lovely young girl, and they would’ve done the same if they had the money to buy that handbag.

Another said it was relative and that if they bought their child a bag for life from Tesco, it would be the same thing as the Beckhams being able to gift their daughter with whatever bag they could afford. One fan called the people trolling the Beckhams “haters.”

What Did David Say About Spoiling?

The comments about the spoiled Beckham children are nothing new for the family. In fact, by the time Harper was born on July 10, 2011, David had already expressed fears that his children would be spoiled.

David’s fears were realized when he found he couldn’t say “no” to his daughter, saying her brothers would often tell her to ask their dad for something because they knew if Harper asked, David would agree.

David did once say “no” to Harper, but when her bottom lip quivered because she was upset, he knew that would be the last time he would ever deny her something that she wanted. He found she enjoyed spending time with her mother but was a daddy’s girl.
