Savannah Chrisley’s brothers address Nic Kerdiles’ ‘absolutely heartbreaking’ death

Savannah Chrisley’s family is speaking out following the tragic death of the reality star’s ex-fiancé, Nic Kerdiles.

The “Chrisley Knows Best” alum, 26, confirmed the hockey player died in a motorcycle accident Saturday morning. He was 29.

Her older brother, Kyle Chrisley, paid tribute to Kerdiles in an Instagram post later that day.

“There are really no words. Nic was killed early this morning in a motorcycle accident. It’s devastating for our family and my heart aches for his,” he began.

“Nic was a good soul all the way around. He was incredibly hard working and was always there for you. He wasn’t just Savannah’s ex fiancé, he was a part of our family.”

Kyle, 32, noted that his sister Savannah was “beside herself” in the wake of the news.

“It’s just absolutely heartbreaking. Please pray for comfort for everyone that knew him and loved him,” he concluded.

Chase Chrisley – whose parents Todd and Julie Chrisley are both serving time in prison for tax fraud – also shared a series of Instagram Stories Saturday.

“No words… I love you man,” he captioned a selfie of him and Kerdiles smoking cigars on the golf course.

Chase, 27, continued, “Doesn’t feel real… lost a brother today… I know God has a plan but man I don’t understand it today. Fly high my brother and rest easy 😭 😭.”

Another snap showed the pair posing with Savannah. “💔 💔 💔 Love you brother,” he captioned it, also sharing a text post that read, “God is watching over you.”

Meanwhile, Savannah’s youngest brother, 17-year-old Grayson, took to his own Instagram Story, writing, “Ain’t no way plz tell me it ain’t real I love you man forever n always.”

As previously reported, the Nashville Police Department told TMZ Saturday that Kerdiles died from injuries he sustained during a collision at a stop sign.

The former NHL player reportedly sped through an intersection on a motorcycle in a residential Nashville area, where he hit the driver’s side of a BMW around 3:30 a.m.

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and was pronounced dead. Authorities noted that there were no signs of impairment in either driver.

Following the sad news, Kerdiles’ first pro hockey team, the Anaheim Ducks, posted a tribute to him.

 


“We’re heartbroken to hear the news about Nic Kerdiles, who died in a motorcycle accident this morning,” a post shared to their official Instagram page read.

“An Irvine native, Nic became the first player from Orange County to play for the Ducks, in 2017. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones.”

Kerdiles began dating Savannah during his professional athletic career and the pair got engaged in December 2018.

They later postponed their wedding because “things moved way too fast” and decided to part ways in September 2020.

“Oh how I wish this smile was on my face and that infectious laugh was spewing out of my body right now…but sadly it’s not. Nic and I have decided to call it quits,” Savannah announced the the time.

Kerdiles, who was working as a real estate agent in Nashville at the time of his death, continued to post kind words about his ex-fiancée after their split.

“This woman right here has been the BIGGEST blessing in my life,” he wrote in 2020 alongside a series of snaps.

“She has the purest heart out of anyone that I know. She has treated me with nothing but love and respect in our 3 years together … There was so much genuine love in this relationship and I’m truly blessed to have been able to spend three years of my life with Savannah.”
