When most people think about kittens, they think about a tiny bundle of fur. They might also think about the responsibility of owning a kitten and the fact that eventually, the little bundle won’t be so little anymore.

Of course, cats come in all shapes and sizes and sometimes, they can even be surprisingly large. That certainly is the case with Kefir, who is considered to be the world’s biggest cat.

The owner of this big bundle of fur is not afraid to talk about the cat and all he has done for the family. The large white Maine Coon cat weighs in at an impressive 27 pounds, and he is still growing.

The owner’s two daughters named the cat after a fermented milk drink. When most people see the cat, they have a difficult time not thinking it’s a dog.

In reality, Kefir is not actually a cat. He is a kitten because the Maine Coon cat is not going to reach full size until up to four years old. This cat, or kitten, is not even close.

This is the first cat that the family has ever had and they have welcomed him with open arms. They knew that he would be big but they had no idea that he would get this big.

Kefir is also extremely intelligent and this comes naturally. He is considered a member of the household and given all the rights and privileges of any human member.

This includes sitting with them at the dinner table and he has his own chair so he can be right there with the family.

Another thing that they learned very quickly about this large cat is the fact that he has the ability to open any door in the home. He also loves to swim, but it takes them a long time to dry after getting out of the water.

Anybody who meets Kefir is sure to be in love with him almost immediately. He’s huge, but he is also friendly and sleeps with his owner every night.

Not everybody would like a cat this large but they are taking him in stride.
