A couple have been left red-faced after they sent a vacation snap back home and an NSFW detail didn’t go unnoticed.
Going on vacation is something that most of us look forward to all year, and if it’s just you and your significant other then there’s a high chance things might get intimate… if you understand where I’m going with this.
There’s no shame in it, but I imagine there would be a fair amount of embarrassment if your dad was to ever find out what you were up to.
Sadly for them, one couple found themselves in this exact scenario.
The couple, Kelsey and her boyfriend Elliot, embarked on a getaway to unwind from the daily grind.
For Kelsey and Elliot, being alone in a foreign hotel room opened the door to some close and personal moments. As one might expect, such experiences are best kept private between the couple involved. Unfortunately, a seemingly harmless photo turned their escapade into an awkward family affair.
Kelsey, in a moment of absentmindedness, sent a mirror selfie back home to her family, inadvertently exposing a conspicuous item in the background: a red bottle with the word Durex emblazoned across it – a product often associated with the act of lovemaking.
Amid the candid chaos, Kelsey’s mother chimed in with an embarrassing response, writing: “Dad said the pics r lovely, nice Durex bottle.”
In a quick bid to save face, Kelsey attempted to play it off, stating: “It’s Elliot’s knee cream!” Yet, her dad’s eagle-eyed scrutiny revealed the truth behind the image, leaving the young couple completely exposed after he zoomed in to check it out.
The incident quickly made its way onto social media, sparking a slew of reactions from amused onlookers.
One person commented: “Nothing out of the ordinary…it’s not like they were on vacation to visit churches and save the homeless. Have fun!”
Another chimed in: “At least it was small enough to go in hand luggage 50ml, #smartboy. If that’s for his knee… it must be a very long knee.”
As the comments kept pouring in, Kelsey issued a follow-up tweet to address the hullabaloo, saying: “Some people [are] getting a right little bee in their bonnet about a little bit of lube. Calm down darlings.”
Despite it being fairly obvious what often happens when a couple goes away together, parents don’t need to be involved, and for their sake, what they don’t know won’t hurt them!
The moral of this story is to ensure that all personal items aren’t in the shot when taking a photo that will be sent to your parents!
