Snoop Dogg has taken to social media to reveal he’s found a ‘natural high’ after giving up smoking.
The 52-year-old rapper first shocked the world with the news he’s giving up the ‘smoke’ in a post to Instagram yesterday (17 November).
Since then – if his nine zoots a day is anything to go by – he’s probably been experiencing a fair few withdrawal symptoms and not feeling too good.
However, Snoop’s now spoken out about finding a ‘natural high’.
Despite previously hiring a full-time blunt roller to support his weed habit, Snoop revealed ‘after much consideration’ and speaking with his family, he’s calling it quits on sparking up a joint.
His revelatory Instagram post reads: “I’ve decided to give up. smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time.”
Signed off by the rapper himself, the statement was printed over the top of a black and white image of himself with his hands in front of his face.
And it would seem Snoop is staying true to his declaration and not indulging in some weed.
In a post to his page earlier today (18 November), Snoop shared another image of himself, this time with the caption: “Natural high.”
What that ‘natural high’ is? Well, who knows. Perhaps Snoop is now just high on life.
Either way, the post has seen fans flood to the rapper’s profile in support of his decision and to debate the use of weed.
One Instagram user said: “First week or two is the hardest. I smoked everyday for a decade. I promise it gets better.”
“Can we just all admit that weed is a bad thing? I feel like as teenagers, my generation was bombarded with pro weed propaganda, and now we’re all in our mid 30’s – we’re starting to realise how bad it is. It’s not cool. It ruins your mental and physical health,” another added.
A third commented: “Day three no zaza.”
And a fourth wrote: “Stay up. I smoked every since I was 15 taking bong rips. Quit eight weeks ago. The 1st week is the worst. Stay up big Snoop. You can do this.”
And it would appear Snoop is in it for the long haul and hoping to inspire other weed smokers to do the same, releasing another cookbook, but with one main ingredient now missing.
Snoop released his first cookbook From Crook to Cook in in 2018, which contains 50 recipes of his favorite foods to eat while high.
However, he’s now revealed he’s released another cook book with Earl ‘E-40’ Stevens titled Goon with the Spoon and weed is no longer a main influence in its creation.
Instead, according to its Amazon description, the cookbook draws ‘inspiration from both rappers’ musical catalogs, their favorite meals to cook and eat together, and E-40’s Filipino food business, Lumpia’.
So, Snoop fans, how about following in the rapper’s footsteps?
