Before his untimely passing at the age of 30, bodybuilder Jo Lindner shared a final Instagram post where he opened up about the health issues he was facing as a result of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT).
Lindner, in a series of shirtless photos, provided a candid account of his medical journey to his followers. He discussed the challenges he encountered after discontinuing TRT for a year, unable to regain his natural testosterone levels, which led him to resume the therapy.
Acknowledging the long-term implications of TRT, Lindner cautioned his audience about the significant commitment it required. He emphasized the difference in his physique before and after undergoing TRT in the last photo he shared, providing a visual representation of the impact it had on his body.
In his post, Lindner pointed out significant size differences, particularly in his chest, showcasing the changes between his muscular and non-muscular physique. He invited his followers to spot 12 differences between two pictures.
Furthermore, Lindner candidly disclosed additional challenges he was confronting as a result of a hernia. He explained that his recent hernia surgery had led to the development of a new hernia, causing his stomach to appear larger.
“Also my stomach now due to my hernia surgery now it’s a new hernia there and it makes my stomach bigger,” continued the health star. “Overall this post should show that even as a natural u can look amazing and why you just need to get in shape!!”
The girlfriend of bodybuilding icon Jo Lindner, known as @immapeaches on Instagram, was the first to announce his untimely passing. She revealed that Lindner tragically died in her arms following an aneurysm.
“Jo is in the best place everyone,” wrote Nicha on Instagram. “Yesterday he passed away from an aneurysm … I was there with him in the room … he put on the necklace on my neck that he made for me… then .. we just lay down to cuddle.”
In a heartfelt statement, the woman, identified as @immapeaches on Instagram, shared that Lindner passed away while in her arms, expressing her disbelief at how quickly everything unfolded. She also mentioned that Lindner had been experiencing neck pains before his demise.
Describing Lindner as sweet, kind, loyal, and strong, she emphasized that he is a “believer in everyone.”
Before his passing, Lindner had candidly discussed his concerns about overtraining during an interview with YouTuber Bradley Martyn. He expressed fears that his rare muscular condition, known as rippling muscle disease, could potentially lead to a heart attack, as his muscles were unusually sensitive to movement or pressure.
“The heart is also a muscle, that’s my biggest concern that what if I get such a bad cramp that my heart gets a cramp,” Lindner told Martyn. “That makes me scared. That’s why I’m staying away from bodybuilding competitions too much.”
Lindner shared his experience with using diuretics as part of his bodybuilding regimen, explaining that they caused excessive sodium and fluid loss through frequent urination. He described the extreme measures he took, such as restricting salt intake and fluid consumption, which led to further elimination of sodium from his body when combined with diuretic use.
“I cannot exist really. I cannot even walk anymore,” concluded Lindner.
As of now, authorities have not released an official cause of death and investigations are ongoing.
