It doesn’t matter how many times we have to report on it, it is always shocking when a celebrity passes away. You can never quite prepare yourself for how you will feel, even though you may not have known them personally.
Harry Potter fans are now mourning the death of one of the beloved actors from the movies. 82-year-old Sir Michael Gambon has passed away. According to a statement, he died peacefully in the hospital.
The statement was given by his wife, Lady Gambon, and their son, Fergus. There publicist said to: “We are devastated to announce the loss of Sir Michael Gambon.
“Beloved husband and father, Michael died peacefully in hospital with his wife Anne and son Fergus at his bedside, following a bout of pneumonia. Michael was 82.
“We ask that you respect our privacy at this painful time and thank you for your messages of support and love.”
Although he was known for his role in the Harry Potter series, he has been playing on the stage and screen for more than six decades. He starred with Lawrence Olivier and before long, was known for his performances.
Sir Gambon played in many Shakespearean productions, including Hamlet and Macbeth.
In 1965, he made his first appearance on the silver screen in an Othello adaptation.
He would show his abilities while playing in a number of roles, including Sleepy Hollow, Gosford Park, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zizzou.
He was knighted in 1999 by Queen Elizabeth II due to his abilities as an actor.
Throughout his career, he may have played many roles but his role in the Harry Potter series is one that will be remembered more than any. He starred in the franchise beginning in 2004.
In 2018, he had to end his acting career on the comedy series, Breeders. This was due to some memory issues but he continued to play in various parts as he could.
